Irene Doukaina or Ducaena (Greek: Εἰρήνη Δούκαινα, Eirēnē Doukaina; c. 1066 – 19 February 1138) was a Byzantine empress by marriage to the Byzantine emperor Alexios I Komnenos. She was the mother of Emperor John II Komnenos and the historian Anna Komnene.
Johannes II. stammt aus dem Haus der Komnenen, der am längsten regierenden byzantinischen Herrscherfamilie. Er war der älteste Sohn von Kaiser Alexios I. mit dessen Frau Irene Dukaina und ist auch bekannt als Kaloioannes (der schöne Johannes).

In der byzantinischen Hofhierarchie konkurrierte sie mit dessen Adoptivmutter Maria von Alanien sowie ihrer Schwiegertochter Irene Dukaina um Macht und Einfluss, wobei sie unter anderem die Erziehung ihrer Enkelin Anna Komnena vollständig an sich zog.
