CJ Fish is the fifth album by the San Francisco psychedelic rock group, Country Joe and the Fish, released in April 1970 on the Vanguard label. It would be the first production with Tom Wilson and Country Joe & the Fish's last studio album for Vanguard Records. Recording took place at the Record Plant in Los Angeles, California.
However, when McDonald reassembled the band for a last-minute scheduling at the Woodstock Festival, another personnel change resulted in the group's final lineup, which included recruits Mark Kapner on keyboards, Doug Metzner on bass, and Greg Dewey on drums.

Country Joe And The Fish. Folk rock/psychedelic rock band formed in 1965 in Berkeley, California by Country Joe McDonald and Barry Melton ("The Fish"). The band was disbanded after their final performance on June 21, 1970. They reformed in 1976 to play a couple of shows and record the "Reunion" album.
