1. Unemployed East End lad Alf Hitchens has an on-off relationship with his girlfriend Marilyn and a dream of hitting the big time in the music business. Cheerful pop musical with a working-class background which uses a number of genuine London locations.
Young Alf (Brown) has been coasting since school and can't find his way; his little brother (Michael Goodman) has been possibly getting a fellow schoolgirl in trouble, and big sister (Grazina Frame) smuggles her chap in when the parents are away.
