Any Trouble war eine britische Rockband, die 1975 in Crewe, England, gegründet wurde. Ihr Sound lag zwischen Wave und Pub Rock, in einer Reihe mit Elvis Costello und Joe Jackson, aber auch mit Elementen von Bruce Springsteen (dessen Song Growing Up zu ihrem Standardrepertoire gehörte).
Any Trouble's new line-up included Andy Ebsworth on drums and Steve Gurl on keyboards, with original members Clive Gregson and Phil Barnes. The sessions started promisingly enough with Val Garay as producer but Garay left after contract negotiations broke down.
Essentially a new band, the four-piece recorded “Any Trouble” in 1983. Again, the same story — should’ve been a hit; somehow overlooked. Gregson, sensing the band couldn’t last much longer, talked EMI into letting Any Trouble record a double album, essentially as a parting shot.

Während seinen aktiven Jahren hat Andy Ebsworth unter anderem mit Clive Gregson, Graham Parker und Any Trouble zusammengeabeitet. Andy Ebsworth ist auf mehreren Alben vertreten, in denen er entweder mit Trommeln, Gesang oder Linn-Drum zu hören ist. ~ akuma.de
