Elbow are an English rock band formed in Bury, Greater Manchester in 1997. The band consists of Guy Garvey (lead vocals, guitar), Craig Potter (keyboard, piano, backing vocals), Mark Potter (guitar, backing vocals) and Pete Turner (bass guitar, backing vocals). They have played together since 1990, adopting the name Elbow in 1997.
5. Juni 2017 · “Elbow is a rubbish name really isn’t it, but we were running out of ideas,” Craig Potter, the keyboardist and producer for the band jokes. From Mr. Soft, to just Soft, eventually an official band name was decided – the reason behind it being quite comical.
This Mercury Prize-winning album is as meticulously crafted as a record comes, but doesn't suffer from a lack of soul or feeling. During their tour this summer, I was able to meet up with Craig Potter, Elbow's keyboardist, resident engineer and the producer of The Seldom Seen Kid.
Verantwortlich für die Technik und die Abmischung von The Seldom Seen Kid war Craig Potter. Seldom Seen Kid war der Spitzname des 2006 verstorbenen Komponisten Bryan Glancy. Ihm zu Ehren erhielt das Album seinen Titel.
