Our Vision. The vision of ACPA is to sustain a progressive teaching and learning culture that thrives on safety, acceptance, and inclusion, rigorous academics, a commitment to the arts, and college preparedness.
CAPA’s Education & Engagement programs enrich the lives of Central Ohio residents by providing free and low-cost creative experiences that are varied, diverse and accessible. We believe everyone in our community deserves to experience the transformative power of the arts and our many community collaborations enable us to fulfill that belief.
The Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School focuses on a rigorous college preparatory program and a rich immersion in the arts (music, dance, theatre, and visual art). The curriculum is delivered through yearlong 80-minute class periods.

Students identified as gifted in the arts are eligible to apply for selective enrollment to Duxberry Park Elementary, Arts Impact Middle School, and Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School. Students will receive a selective enrollment letter in early January of each year.
Plays, musicals, cabaret skits, improvisation—Academy children get many opportunities to shine in the spotlight and back stage. Performance is not an extra-curricular activity at Academy but an essential part of a student’s personal and academic growth, teaching accountability and instilling confidence in their talents.
