McGear is the second and final solo album by English singer Mike McGear, released in 1974. The album is a collaboration between McGear and his brother Paul McCartney, who co-wrote and produced the record. All backing tracks on the album are performed by McCartney and his band Wings, occasionally accompanied by guest artists.

5. Nov. 2020 · Paul und Linda McGear. Wings hatten im Jahr zuvor ihren Meilenstein Band On The Run veröffentlicht. Ein Jahr nach der Veröffentlichung von McGear (das manche manche als „verlorenes Wings-Album“ bezeichnen), legte die Band mit Venus And Mars nach. Eigentlich war nur geplant, eine Single aufzunehmen.
Linda Louise McCartney, geborene Eastman, verheiratete McCartney ab 1969, bekannt auch als Linda Eastman war eine US-amerikanische Fotografin, Musikerin und Buchautorin. Sie war die erste Ehefrau von „Beatle“ Paul McCartney.

15. Aug. 2019 · McGear, a 1974 release by Paul McCartney's younger brother, Mike, is out now in an excellent 2-CD, 1-DVD mini box set, and it shouldn't be dismissed as a for-completists-only release. If you're unfamiliar with it, the sound of McGear might best be described as "Mike McCartney and Wings."
2. Juli 2022 · This forgotten disc from 1974 is teaming with a bunch of memorable Paul McCartney melodies and plenty of witty lyrics by his brother Mike McCartney (McGear). Mike is the lead vocalist on all the tunes but Paul contributes his iconic vocals here and there along with his typically bouncy bass parts.
