Tom McGurk (Irish: Tomás Mag Oirc) (born 20 December 1946) is an Irish poet, journalist, radio presenter and sportscaster from Brockagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. He attended Portadown College. He studied English and Philosophy at Queen's University Belfast. He was involved in the Civil Rights demonstrations while at Queen's.

Tom McGurk is one of Ireland's most distinguished journalists and broadcasters. He has been over thirty five years working in newspapers, radio and television in Ireland and for a decade in the UK. From 1983 to 1996 he was married to the broadcaster Miriam O'Callaghan.

Tom McGurk is a Dublin-born broadcaster who joined RTÉ in 1972 and became the anchor of its rugby coverage. He also wrote the drama ‘Dear Sarah’ about Giuseppe Conlon and worked for the BBC in London.
