Das New England Conservatory of Music (NEC) in Boston, Massachusetts, ist das älteste unabhängige Konservatorium der Vereinigten Staaten. Es wurde 1867 von dem Musiklehrer Eben Tourjee (1834–1891) und dem aus Potsdam stammenden Komponisten und Pianisten Robert Goldbeck (1839–1908) nach dem Vorbild europäischer Konservatorien gegründet und nimmt jetzt jährlich 750 reguläre Studenten auf.
