A classically trained violinist from the age of 4, Greene found her interests changing as she went through adolescence. By the time she was 18 she was ready to reconnect with her violin in a new way, rooted in experimentation and nonconformity. In college, she found herself playing in an art-punk rock band and started touring after graduating.
