The Deep End, Volume 2 is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Gov't Mule. The album was released on October 8, 2002, by ATO Records . After the death of founding member and bass guitarist Allen Woody, the band began recording tracks using bass players that Woody had admired.

The Deep End Vol. 2 is the second album culled from these sessions. This album features the bass playing greats: Meshell N'Degeocello, Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Les Claypool (Primus), George Por ter, Jr.. (The Meters, Tori Amos) and Dave Schools (Widespread Panic).

Originally released in the USA as two separate volumes, this version contains not only both volumes but a bonus CD as well. The “Deep End” features the two Mule regulars, Warren Haynes and Matt Abts, with some of the world’s finest bass players.
