Gordon Haddon Clark (August 31, 1902 – April 9, 1985) was an American philosopher and Calvinist theologian. He was a leading figure associated with presuppositional apologetics and was chairman of the Philosophy Department at Butler University for 28 years.

Gordon Clark was a prodigious thinker. He was a great Christian philosopher and theologian. In his lifetime Dr. Clark authored some forty books in the areas of philosophy and theology. His Thales to Dewey (1957, 1989) is one of the few histories of philosophy written by a Christian in the twentieth century.

He believes that the Bible is objectively self-attesting, having an in se absolute authority that carries its own self-evident warrant for belief (the problem for those who do not see this is subjective).
