1953. Closed. 1995. Our Lady Queen of Angels Seminary (OLQA) was the Junior or Minor Seminary for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles from its founding in 1953 until its closure in 1995. It was located in Mission Hills, California, adjacent to Mission San Fernando Rey de España.
Our Lady Queen of Angels Seminary (Los Angeles) - Operated from 1926 to 1994; run by the archdiocese. St. Anthony Seraphic College (Santa Barbara) - Opened in 1901; run by the Franciscan Friars. Colorado. St. Thomas Seminary - Operated from 1907 to 1995; run by the Congregation of the Mission.

I graduated and then moved on to my seminary formation at St. John’s Seminary College in Camarillo. During that period of time, I felt that God was calling me to serve Him as a missionary. So in the summer of 1992, I joined the Divine Word Missionaries and became attached to their Chicago Province.
As a program of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Queen of Angels seeks to form seminarians committed to an ongoing relationship with Jesus and to foster a spirit of generous service for God’s people. Queen of Angels encourages seminarians to grow in apostolic zeal to be missionary disciples.
