Horace Heidt (May 21, 1901 – December 1, 1986) [1] was an American pianist, big band leader, and radio and television personality. His band, Horace Heidt and his Musical Knights, toured vaudeville and performed on radio and television during the 1930s and 1940s.

Wegen eines Streits mit seinem Management zog er sich 1945 zurück und widmete sich seinen Immobilien-Investments, die ihn zu einem der damals wohlhabendsten Orchesterleiter machten. 1947 war er wieder zurück und leitete das Orchester in den Radio-Talentshows („Talent Show“, „Youth Opportunity Show“).
