Cheshire Academy is a selective, co-educational college preparatory school located in Cheshire, Connecticut, United States. Founded in 1794 as the Episcopal Academy of Connecticut, it is the eleventh oldest boarding school in the United States.
Connection and community are at the heart of what Cheshire has meant for more than 225 years. We’re delighted to connect with you, whether that’s through our inquiry form, a campus visit, events, an in-person or online interview, or a phone call.
Cheshire Academy students grow increasingly capable of independently observing, questioning, explaining, interpreting, and analyzing the world. Our academic process starts with what students know and want to know, and develops active learners who reflect on their growth and the implications of their learning.
Cheshire Academy was founded in 1794. The Academy is a selective independent, coeducational boarding and day school enrolling 350 students in grades 9-12 and a postgraduate year. Cheshire Academy endeavors to enroll students who are eager to pursue their passions and realize their potential.
Campus Visits. We welcome you to schedule either an on-campus tour and interview or a Zoom interview if you’re interested in the 2024-2025 school year. An appointment is required to schedule a tour or interview.
