Die Berliner Mauer inspirierte das Stück, eine Mauer stellt ein wichtiges Element des Textes dar. “Heroes” ist ein Rocksong von David Bowie. Das 1977 erschienene Stück handelt von zwei Liebenden, die im Schatten der Berliner Mauer zusammenkommen. Der Titel entstand in West-Berlin als Teil von Bowies Berlin-Trilogie .
8. Nov. 2023 · It was produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and written by Bowie and Brian Eno (and technically Robert Fripp, but more on this later). "There was a lot of enthusiasm on "Heroes" because Brian [Eno] and I liked so much of what we'd done on Low," Bowie told CBC in 1977 about the choice to record another album.
Co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno and co-produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti, the song was recorded in mid-1977 at Hansa Studio 2 in West Berlin. The backing track was recorded fully before lyrics were written; Bowie and Eno added synthesiser overdubs while Robert Fripp contributed guitar.
