Wetton/Downes (sometimes stylised as Wetton-Downes or Wetton & Downes, though the album is given no official title) is the first album released by Asia member Geoff Downes and former Asia member John Wetton, and is a precursor to their Icon series.

Ende 1989 wurde Downes von Wetton und Palmer zu Asia zurückgeholt. Als ständigen Gitarristen holten die drei Pat Thrall in die Band, der zuvor bei Meat Loaf und Pat Travers gespielt hatte. In dieser Besetzung ging die Band nun auf Tour.

In recent years, Downes has teamed up with Wetton in a separate project under the name Icon. They have released three studio albums: Icon (2005), Icon II: Rubicon (2006), and Icon 3 (2009) and live album from their 2005 tour.
11. Apr. 2024 · Bassist/vocalist John Wetton and keyboardist Geoff Downes had parted company in the early 90s. Downes had gone on to preside over another version of Asia with John Payne, but without drummer Carl Palmer and guitarist Steve Howe – although both guested on the first non-Wetton Asia album, 1992’s Aqua, while Howe also cropped up on 2001’s Aura.
