Group Sex is the debut studio album by American hardcore punk band Circle Jerks. It was released on October 1, 1980, by Frontier Records. The album consists of 14 songs in 15 minutes and is considered to be a landmark album in hardcore punk. It was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die .

For me, early 80's hardcore punk is an aquiered taste. The Circle Jerks are no exeption. As I listen to this record more and more, it grows on me. Enough about me, on to the album. This record, as the title suggests is a compilation of the albums Group Sex, and Wild in the Streets.
A new mix was done, out of necessity and without the band’s approval, for a CD release (paired with their first album, Group Sex) in 1988. This mix was used for most reissues since then.
