Roustabout is the ninth soundtrack album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley, released on RCA Victor Records in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 2999, in October 1964. It is the soundtrack to the 1964 film of the same name starring Presley.
You can also hear Floyd’s work on several of Elvis’ movie soundtracks, like “Follow That Dream,” “Viva Las Vegas,” “Blue Hawaii,” “Roustabout,” “Girl Happy” and more. The 1967 and 1968 “Stay Away Joe” sessions were the last ones Floyd worked on with Elvis.
Viva Las Vegas is an EP by American singer Elvis Presley, containing four songs from the 1964 motion picture, Viva Las Vegas. It was released by RCA Victor in May 1964 to coincide with the film's premiere. The soundtrack EP made the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 92, the lowest-charting release of Presley's career to this point. Aug. 2019 · The film follows Elvis in the role of bad boy singer Charlie Rogers, who joins a traveling carnival run by Maggie Morgan (Barbara Stanwyck) as a roustabout after losing his job as a musician. Maggie learns of Charlie's musical talents and promotes him as one of the carnival's attractions.
