Final V.U. 1971–1973 is a box set by the Velvet Underground, comprising live recordings from after founding members Lou Reed and Sterling Morrison had left the group. It was released by Japanese record company Captain Trip Records in August 2001.

The Velvet Underground war eine experimentelle Rockband, die 1964 in New York City gegründet wurde. In ihrer Anfangsformation bestand sie aus Lou Reed (Gitarre, Gesang), John Cale (Bass, Viola, Keyboard und Gesang), Angus MacLise (Schlagzeug, Bongos, Handtrommeln) und Sterling Morrison (Gitarre).
What a great live album, no really, it is. This documents The Velvet Underground live when Lou Reed left for good. Honestly, when you look past the sound quality, it's not bad at all, and Doug Yule makes for a great fontman of V.U.
