Bernard Matthew Leadon III (pronounced led-un; born July 19, 1947) [1] is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and founding member of the Eagles, for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Roberts was joined on the record by Burrito Brothers bandmate Chris Hillman, as well as three of the Eagles: Don Henley, Bernie Leadon (formerly of the Burrito Brothers), and Randy Meisner. Other guest musicians include David Crosby , Jackson Browne , Al Perkins , Dallas Taylor , Marc Benno and Byron Berline .
Nach der Tournee löste sich die Band auf und Roberts begann eine Solokarriere. Er nahm zwei Alben auf, Windmills (1972) und ‚She Is A Song’ (1973), letzteres von Chris Hillman produziert und von der Publishing Firma von Stephen Stills veröffentlicht. Firefall. 1973 starb Ex-Byrd/Ex-Burrito Gram Parsons.

Rick Roberts followed w/ 2 solo Lp's before starting Firefall. Both "Windmills" and the follow-up, "She Is A Song" are great Lp's/CD's. Once these 2 became available on 1 CD, I scooped it up. Settling in Boulder Colorado Rick Roberts recorded "She is a song" at a small independent studio.
