玉川大学 （たまがわだいがく、 英語: Tamagawa University ）は、 東京都 町田市 玉川学園 六丁目1番1号に本部を置く 日本 の 私立大学 。 1929年 創立、 1947年 大学設置。 概説. 経営・教育信条. 経営主体は 学校法人玉川学園 であり、幼稚園から大学院までを擁する総合学園の 高等教育 部門と位置づけられている。 創立者は 小原國芳 であり、彼の唱えた 全人教育 を教育信条に掲げている。 特に國芳が存命中だった時に学んだ卒業生は、彼の人格を尊敬する人が多い。 学長職は、第3代以降、創立者一族による世襲である。 初代学長は元 東京文理科大学 （現・ 筑波大学 ）教授の 田中寛一 、第2代は 京都帝国大学 文学部哲学科宗教学講座での小原の恩師 波多野精一 。
