27. September 2019 – Vor 70 Jahren erschien Ludwig von Mises’ bahnbrechendes Werk „Human Action. A Treatise on Economics“. Als überarbeitete und erweiterte Fassung von „Nationalökonomie. Theorie des Handelns und Wirtschaftens“ (1940) und in englischer Sprache veröffentlicht, wurde Human Action zu einem Klassiker in der Wirtschaftsliteratur.
Um es kurz zu machen: Human Action ist das bis dato kompromissloseste und schlüssigste Plädoyer für Kapitalismus, das bis jetzt erschienen ist. Falls ein einziges Buch die ideologische Trendwende herbeiführen kann, die derzeit so weit in Richtung Staatswirtschaft, Sozialismus und Totalitarismus deutet, dann ist es Human Action.
