Today the band consists of one remaining original member, former front man Tommy Angarano (AKA Tommy Tempest), (Guitar, Keyboards, Guitar Synthesizer and Lead and Backing Vocals). After the original band broke up, in the late 60s, he played in a few other well known bands including The Emotions, Pink Anacin, The Outlaws and Raven.

He had previously been in a band by the same name. By early 1968, O'Brien and Holmberg both left the band to get married and Frank O'Keefe came in on vocals and bass. Later that year, Tommy Angarano, (Tommy Tempest) joined Outlaws to replace Pino, bringing Hammond organ sounds and his style of vocals to the band.
THE TEMPESTS. The Tempests were formed in 1963 in St. Petersburg, when the original members were just 13 years old. The original band members included Doug Palmer (rhythm guitar), Bobby Allen (drums), Bill Hickman (bass guitar), Tommy Angarano (vocals) and the late Charlie Bailey (lead guitar).
After one of the members was drafted during the Vietnam era, Tommy Angarano pursued additional music interests playing in The Emotions, Pink Anacin, Raven and the Outlaws, before regrouping as "The Tempests". Angarano began his musical career, at an early age, and at the age of 10 appeared on “Ted Mack’s Amateur Hour” playing the accordion.
