Cristo Rey Network is a network of career focused, college preparatory schools that enroll 12,300+ students nation-wide. The schools are sponsored by 34 Catholic orders and are located in various regions across the US.
The Cristo Rey Network is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2000 to increase the number of schools modeled after Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, which was founded in 1996 to prepare youth from low-income families for post-secondary educational opportunities.
The Cristo Rey Network® is the only network of high schools in the country that integrate four years of rigorous college preparatory academics with four years of professional work experience through the Corporate Work Study Program.
The Cristo Rey Network of schools was founded in 2001 when school leaders met to replicate the unique standards of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, IL. In 2003, the Cristo Rey Network® was formally organized as a 501(c) (3) organization.
The Cristo Rey Network is the largest network of urban high schools in the country enrolling only low income youth. The Cristo Rey Network delivers a distinctive approach to inner-city education that equips students with the knowledge, character, and skills to transform their lives.
