Christopher William Gerard Hughton (born 11 December 1958) is a professional football manager and former player. Born in England, he represented the Republic of Ireland national team. He was most recently head coach of the Ghana national team.

ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AP) — Chris Hughton has been fired as Ghana coach following the team’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations. “Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the senior national team with immediate effect,” the Ghana Football Association said Tuesday after the team’s elimination was confirmed.
Manager Bio. Chris Hughton has managed three clubs in the Premier League, Newcastle United, Norwich City and Brighton & Hove Albion. The former left-back spent most of his professional playing career at Tottenham Hotspur between 1979 and 1990 - winning the FA Cup twice and the UEFA Cup.
