The National University of Ostroh Academy (Ukrainian: Національний Університет Острозька Академія, translit.: Natsional'nyi Universytet Ostroz'ka Akademiia) is a Ukrainian self-governed (autonomous) research university that was established in 1994 by the Presidential Decree of April 12, 1994.
Die Ostroger Akademie (ukrainisch Острозька академія) war eine griechisch-lateinisch-slawische Hochschule in der wolhynischen Stadt Ostroh. Sie wurde von Fürst Konstanty Wasyl Ostrogski (1526–1608) um 1576 gegründet.
Ostroh Academy (Polish: Akademia Ostrogska) was an academy located in Ostróg, Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. It is considered to be the first institution of higher education in the territory of present-day Ukraine, dating to 1576 and founded by the wealthy and influential Ruthenian noble Konstanty Wasyl Ostrogski .
The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs. It was founded in 1576. The NUOA is a higher educational institution licensed and accredited by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
NUOA offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes in law, economics, history, cultural and political studies, psychology, international relations, PR and linguistics, and journalism. The scientific library is the first digitalised library in the region.
