Stories was an American early 1970s rock and pop music band based in New York. The band consisted of keyboardist Michael Brown, bassist / vocalist Ian Lloyd, guitarist Steve Love, and drummer Bryan Madey, and had a Number 1 hit with a cover of Hot Chocolate 's " Brother Louie ." [1]

1. Feb. 2016 · The new line-up consisted of Lloyd, guitarist Steve Love, drummer Bryan Madey, bass player Kenny Aaronson and Ken Bichel on keyboards. I have long been intrigued by the subsequent history of those artists who have one huge hit song only to descend into obscurity.
The pair envisioned creating melodic rock music inspired by The Beatles and The Beach Boys and recruited guitarist Steve Love and drummer Bryan Madey, but their self-titled debut album only made it into the lower reaches of the charts and Brown soon quit the group.
