"Swinging on a Star" is an American pop standard with music composed by Jimmy Van Heusen and lyrics by Johnny Burke. It was introduced by Bing Crosby in the 1944 film Going My Way, winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song that year, and has been recorded by numerous artists since then.
Swinging on a Star ist ein Lied, das im Jahr 1944 von Jimmy Van Heusen komponiert wurde. Der Text stammt von Johnny Burke. In der von Bing Crosby [1] gesungenen Version wurde es in dem Film Der Weg zum Glück als Filmlied verwendet. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Andrews Sisters were a highly successful close harmony singing group of the swing and boogie-woogie eras. Throughout their long career, the sisters sold well over 75 million records (the last official count released by MCA Records in the mid-1970s).
