Country Joe Band - Turned up and Turned On Playing with members of his backing band, the Fish, and captured live at Southsea on June 13, 2004, this film features the reunited collective performing classic tracks and recent songs like "Cakewalk to Baghdad."
Country Joe and the Fish was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1965. The band was among the influential groups in the San Francisco music scene during the mid- to late 1960s.

Background. Country Joe and the Fish were originally formed in 1965 by Country Joe McDonald and Barry Melton as an acoustic folk/jugband duo. This embryonic version of the group, supplemented by Carl Shrager, Bill Steele and Mike Beardslee, recorded an initial EP in September of that year which was released as a "talking issue" of Rag Baby magazine a month later.
