Aaron Sachs (* 4. Juli 1923 in New York City; † 5. Juni 2014 [1]) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz - Saxophonist ( Tenor- und Altsaxophon ), Flötist und Klarinettist, Bandleader und Komponist des Swing und des Modern Jazz .
Career. A native of New York City, Sachs began his music career as a young swing protégé of Benny Goodman, [1] and later eased into bebop music, also playing with Earl Hines. [4] He then formed his own bands, recording and touring. He married singer Helen Merrill in 1948, a union which lasted only a few years.
