Jann Haworth (born 1942) is a British-American pop artist. A pioneer of soft sculpture, she is best known as the co-creator of The Beatles ' 1967 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. Haworth is also an advocate for feminist rights especially for the representation of women in the art world.
Warhols work embraces 'the product' and the world of advertising, Haworth's is Hollywood. Her show focuses the first 10 years of her career 61-70 and matched there the high flow mark of Pop Art and butts that decade face to face with her most recent work 2001-2010.
Jann Haworth is known for her innovative soft sculpture practice that reclaims the value of traditional female crafts. She also founded schools and created public murals celebrating women's creativity.
