1. Nov. 2012 · He was 66. A gifted athlete who played water polo in high school and subsequently the Pan American Games and the Olympics, Hind had an ear drum broken while earning a gold medal in the 1967 Pan Am Games. The injury led Hind to develop protective ear flaps on water polo caps, which is now an industry standard.
2. Nov. 2012 · SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (BRAIN) — Greg Hind, founder of Hind Performance and GH Sports, died Wednesday after a short illness. He was 66. Hind founded Hind Performance in the early 1970s. The company was an early leader in using Lycra fabric in athletic gear, including bicycle clothing.
