The band soon added Will Glenn (keyboards and violin) and later Eddie Kalwa (drums). They self-released their debut single, "What She's Done to Your Mind" on their Llama label in 1982. In 1983, they released their debut album, Emergency Third Rail Power Trip, on the Enigma/Zippo label.

11. März 2023 · The reunited Rain Parade, one of the leading lights of the Paisley Underground scene in early- and mid-’80s Los Angeles, this spring will release Last Rays of a Dying Sun, the band’s third studio album — and its first collection of new songs in nearly four decades.

Okt. 2023 · The legendary Paisley Underground band Rain Parade recently released their new album ‘Last Rays Of A Dying Sun’ via Label 51. ‘Last Rays Of A Dying Sun’ manages to sound both like a lost classic and the groundbreaking work of an unknown new artist, emerging from their secret lair with a record ready to change the world.
Soon, the lineup was rounded out by Will Glenn [keyboards/violin] and Eddie Kalwa [drums]. The original lineup released only one album – 1983’s Emergency Third Rail Power Trip.
