Pomona College (/ p ə ˈ m oʊ n ə / ⓘ pə-MOH-nə) is a private liberal arts college in Claremont, California. It was established in 1887 by a group of Congregationalists who wanted to recreate a "college of the New England type" [5] in Southern California .

Most students apply and are admitted to Pomona through the Regular Decision option. This means you may apply to as many or as few colleges as you choose, and you’ll receive admissions decisions around the same time—by April 1.
