Before and After Science is the fifth solo studio album by Brian Eno, originally released by Polydor Records in December 1977 in the United Kingdom and by Island U.S. soon after.
Like previous Eno projects, he hired a handful of different instrumentalists, including Robert Fripp, Phil Collins, Paul Rudolph, Bill MacCormick and Percy Jones.

Crucially, he also showed the simpatico between the most open-minded musicians of the prog/art-rock scene and those embodying the Next Big Thing.
