Born in Nottingham on 12th December 1945 Alan was the baby of the band, aged just eighteen when he first appeared on Top Of The Pops. He was however also the most musically educated having spent eleven years studying piano and music theory as well as two years learning guitar. His keyboard skills were as important to the band as his guitar playing.
Robert Ward Allen (August 8, 1856 – August 23, 1931) was an American naturalist, duck hunter and merchant. He became the central character in John Eugene Cay Jr. 's 1958 non-fiction book Ward Allen: Savannah River Market Hunter. The book was the basis for the 2013 movie Savannah .

Sir Alan Hylton Ward (born 15 February 1938) is a former judge of the Court of Appeal of England and Wales . Early life and education. Ward was born and raised in South Africa and practised as an Attorney of the Supreme Court (solicitor), occasionally being instructed by Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo.
