Tom Kellichan (born c. 1954 [1]) was the original drummer of The Skids, from 1977 to 1979. Biography. From Cowdenbeath, [2] and a former van driver, [citation needed] he completed the line-up of The Skids after answering their ad for a drummer.
Skids are a Scottish punk rock and new wave band, formed in Dunfermline in 1977 by Stuart Adamson (guitar, keyboards, percussion and backing vocals), William Simpson (bass guitar and backing vocals), Thomas Kellichan (drums) and Richard Jobson (vocals, guitar and keyboards).

The Skids formed in 1977 in their home town of Dunfermline, Scotland by Richard Jobson, Stuart Adamson, Bill Simpson & Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band were played by John Peel, supported The Clash in concert and then were signed to Virgin Records in 1978.
