Although B2 is "Bahama Mama" on cover and inner sleeve, it is named "Because That's The Way I Like It" on the label. Obviously composer Alphonso Johnson re-named it after recording it. To add some confusion this tune is called "Love's The Way I Feel Bout' Cha" on CD issues.
Alphonso Johnson (born February 2, 1951) [1] is an American jazz bassist active since the early 1970s.
Biographie. Ursprünglich war Johnson Posaunist und Kontrabassist, aber 1968 spezialisierte er sich auf das Instrument E-Bass. Seine musikalische Karriere begann Anfang der 1970er Jahre; damals arbeitete er mit verschiedenen Jazzmusikern zusammen, wie Horace Silver, Woody Herman (1972), Chuck Mangione (1973) und Chet Baker.
