  2. Peterhouse ist das älteste bestehende College der Universität Cambridge. Es wurde 1284 von Hugh von Balsham, Bischof von Ely, gegründet. Es nimmt Studierende beiderlei Geschlechts auf, 41 Professoren (Fellows) lehrten hier. Der Name Peterhouse wird ohne den Zusatz „College“ verwendet.
