Nach wenigen Wochen im Jahr 1963 wurde schließlich auch der Schlagzeuger Don Rathbone durch Bobby Elliott ersetzt, der zusammen mit Hicks in der Band The Dolphins gespielt hatte. 1963 unterschrieb die Band einen Plattenvertrag bei Parlophone , wo auch die Beatles unter Vertrag standen.
