California Sun / She Loves You is a rock and roll album by the Crickets, recorded during their time with Liberty Records. It is The Crickets' fourth and final album for Liberty following the departure and subsequent death of their front man, Buddy Holly.

Geschichte. Nachdem Buddy Holly 1956 vom Talentsucher Jim Denny entdeckt worden war, erlangte er 1957 mit den Eigenkompositionen That'll Be the Day und Peggy Sue weltweite Berühmtheit. Die Begleitband hieß zunächst The Two-Tunes, wurde aber bald in The Crickets umbenannt.
