In early 1979, the band underwent a major change in personnel when Phrazer and Insect Robin the Cleaner were replaced by Dexter (a longtime fan and roadie) and Luke Rendle. After performing their last show, supporting Magazine and Bauhaus in their hometown of Guildford on 10 May 1980, the band broke up. [2]

Bassist Tony Wakeford and guitarist Douglas Pearce formed the critically acclaimed Death in June, while drummer Luke Rendle went on to join The Pack and Theatre of Hate. Original bassist Tony Wakeford has reformed a new line-up of Crisis, and the group are set to play gigs in the UK and Europe over the coming months.
10. Jan. 2008 · Shortly after the album was recorded, new guitarist Billy Duffy (formerly of The Nosebleeds) joined the band, and soon after that, drummer Luke Rendle was replaced by Nigel Preston. The album reached No. 17 in the UK Albums Chart, and also spawned the Top 40 single “Do You Believe in the West World”.
