King George V School (KGV, pronounced "K-G-Five") is a coeducational international secondary independent school of the English Schools Foundation (ESF), located in Ho Man Tin, Hong Kong. The school has more than 1,900 students and is one of the oldest schools in Hong Kong.
Welcome to King George V (KGV) School. As Principal of KGV, I am delighted to be able to write a few lines to introduce you to the school. KGV is a dynamic and exciting place, where over 1850 students and 250 staff call home.
King George had been king in 1935 when the Foundation Stone of the school was laid. In 1979, after a long tiresome debate, the school joined the English Schools Foundation (ESF). King George V is still well known throughout Hong Kong and has become a very popular school.
