St Aloysius' College is a comprehensive boys' day school with a co-educational Sixth Form in Highgate, north London. We welcome, educate and nurture students aged 11-18.
St Aloysius' College is a Roman Catholic, boys-only state school in the London Borough of Islington, England. Each year around 180 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (aged 11 or 12) on the basis of examination; the local education authority also assigns students without another school to this school.
Founded in 1859, St Aloysius' College is Scotland's only Catholic Jesuit school and is dedicated to forming bright, well-rounded, and empathetic young people. 1970s. College became a fully independent school in the final quarter of the century. The College took the decision to accept girls in 1979, key to establishing the St Aloysius’ College of today. Early 2000s. With the 21st century came a sustained period of growth for the College and its campus.

Our School. Our History. This year we celebrate 144 years since this school was founded! In 1879 the Brothers of Our Lady of Mercy opened their school on this site in Hornsey Lane, Highgate. Over the years the school has passed from being an independent school to being a Voluntary Aided Grammar School within the L.C.C.
