The Differend: Phrases in Dispute (French: Le Différend) is a 1983 book by the French philosopher Jean-François Lyotard.
22. Aug. 2022 · In what follows, I will examine Lyotard’s work on the ‘differend’ and the philosophy of the ‘phrase’ which accompanies it, arguing that it offers an alternative to the epistemic paradigm of deep disagreement that the FEP and ‘hinge’ views exemplify.
