    Greg was raised by his single mother, Marianne Hirsch, most likely in Canada. His nickname as a child was "Greg The Egg" since, according to Caroline, he appeared misshapen like an egg as an infant.

    Somewhere, presumably in Canada, Greg Hirsch is taking a training course to be an amusement park mascot for Waystar Royco. He'd gotten high in his car beforehand, and is now becoming overheated in the suit. Some kids run up to him and start hitting him, causing him to vomit in the suit. After he is fired from Brightstar Amusement Parks, she advises him to visit Logan for his birthday and ask for a job. When Shiv and Roman ask Greg for opposing favors, he calls her for advice.
