Doomsday Machine is the sixth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, produced by Rickard Bengtsson and mixed by Andy Sneap. It is the third album to feature the vocals of Angela Gossow. The album had some commercial success, debuting at number 87 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 12,000 copies.

Review. Anfang diesen Jahres mag manch ein Kritiker und Fan augenreibend in tiefen Unglauben verfallen sein. Da war von der Erschaffung des „ultimativen Metal Albums“ die Rede, von „Zeiten alter Metal Magie, als Bands noch mit unglaublichem Flair und Leichtigkeit einen Klassiker nach dem anderen raushauten“.

Arch Enemy have been creating melodic death metal since their first release in 1996. Many fans consider the addition of Angela Gossow to be the downfall of the group. I've only heard Black Earth with Johan on vocals and judging by Doomsday Machine those people seem to be right.
