The SAS Band has performed at an array of international high profile public concerts, major corporate events and exclusive private parties around the world. These performances include The Prince’s Trust “Party in the Park,” and the Mandela 46664 concerts in Cape Town, Hyde Park, London and Radio City Music Hall, NY.
Die SAS Band (abgeleitet aus Spike’s All Star Band) wurde 1994 von Spike Edney gegründet. Dieser ist bekannt dafür, dass er Queen seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre bei Konzerten als Keyboarder begleitet.
Patti did three shows with the SAS Band in the UK in December 2008, singing a range of Queen songs and soul classics. The shows were filmed and recorded for the SAS Band’s Motown 2 Memphis DVD. Here’s a clip of Patti singing Natural Woman from the DVD:
This is a pre-release teaser of the new release from the SAS Band - Motown 2 Memphis. Shot at Bisley Pavillion in December 2007, this has been a labour of love for both Spike Edney and his production partners, Kenny Evans-Video and Andy Rose-audio.
