Dale Spalding is an American singer, harmonicist, guitarist and bassist, best known for his works with Poncho Sanchez and Canned Heat. Biography [ edit ] Dale Spalding grew up in Downey , California , in a family of four children.
Continuing on into his twelfth year, New Orleans’ legend, Dale Spalding is on harmonica, guitar and lead vocals and for the past two years, inventive bassist, Rick Reed became part of the lineup after stints with Paul Butterfield, John Mayall and the Chicago Blues Reunion.
From late 2008 to the Spring of 2010 the lineup included Dale Spalding (guitar, harmonica and vocals), Barry Levenson (lead guitar), Greg Kage (bass), and classic lineup hold-over and band leader de la Parra on drums.
For a decade, the Dale Spalding Band worked in California and featured some of LA’s finest musicians including the legendary drummer James Gadson, Texas saxophone ace Lon Price and the soulful Bruce Malament “Funky Mal”on piano.
